Webinar: Proactive VIP Prospect Research at the Wisconsin Foundation & Alumni Association

This presentation will offer attendees an opportunity to learn about the Wisconsin Foundation & Alumni Association (WFAA) approach to proactive research on top prospects. VIP prospects are, as their name suggests, very important constituents in our organization’s database. For some members of our VIP population though, the information in our CRM is outdated or minimal. This past fall, the WFAA Prospect Research team developed a process to help ensure that our VIP constituents—like board members and principal gift prospects—have robust profiles. This positions our organization for meaningful engagement and reduces the need for reactive research.

Attendees will gain an understanding of the development and implementation of WFAA’s proactive strategy, and hear ideas for applying a similar approach at their own institutions. Viv Chappell is the Prospect Research Manager at WFAA and has previously served in other positions in fund development, prospect research, and prospect development. WFAA is a private, nonprofit organization that advances the objectives of the University of Wisconsin–Madison by encouraging the interest, engagement, and financial support of alumni, donors, and friends in the life of the University and with each other. Their 16-member Research and Prospect Management team supports over 80 development staff members.
